Have you heard about Book Bash? This massive book-signing event is taking place in Orlando this Saturday, with over fifty authors there to sign books, meet fans, and answer questions. Founded by Maryse’s Book Blog, this event features a ton of indie authors, traditionally published authors, and those who’ve crossed over one way or the other!
Do you have an indie favorite? Whose line would you stand in if you were going? I can see more than a couple of authors whose autographs I’d like to get…
Like Christina Lauren, of Beautiful Bastard fame. Not only are her books absolutely FILTHY in the best possible way, but there’s a sense of fun and playfulness to her writing that I really like. Some angst is great, but for summer reads, I find myself thinking, “Why so serious?” (Did you all check out the advance excerpt of Beautiful Bitch we posted? If you missed it, go read it now!)
There’s always one of the reigning queens of the burgeoning erotic romance genre, Sylvia Day. She’ll be there signing her Crossfire series…but did you know she also has a long history as a writer of historical romances? I think Sylvia’s extensive publishing experience shows in the depth and intensity of characterization that she brings to every book, no matter what genre.
Or how about Cora Carmack? I’m not the biggest reader in the New Adult genre, but what I loved about Losing It was how it played with people’s assumptions about sexuality and virginity…I won’t spoil the book for any of you who haven’t read it, but it begins with a college senior who thinks it’s high time she gets her V-card punched. Try it, you’ll like it!
Who are your favorites on the Book Bash list? Are any of you going? Tell us in the comments what you’re excited about!
