Leave it to author Molly Harper to find the most creative way for a character to get vamped! In her newest Half Moon Hollow novel, Accidental Sire, college student Meagan gets clocked when someone makes a bad throw in an ultimate frisbee game. So what?, we hear you asking…problem is, when it’s vampires playing frisbee, they don’t use a plastic disc. And when it’s a 40-pound weight hurtling at your head, you’re bound to be left more than a little the worse for wear.

But of course, since this is a Molly Harper novel, that’s just where the fun begins. If you’re already a fan, you’ll be delighted to see plenty of beloved Half Moon Hollow regulars pop up in this story…and if you’re brand new to the series, you’ll have no trouble sinking straight into her world of vamps, shifters, and other paranormal folks who don’t take themselves seriously (unlike some sparkly Northwesterners we could name!).

Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust says, “I always feel good when I read a book by Molly Harper; she makes being a vampire seem not so bad, and offers laughs and poignancy while making the undead feel like the people next door.”
