New York Times bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries is just like the rest of us—she has book boyfriends, too! She can’t help but fall for the dashing Dukes or exciting Earls. Keep reading for the dish on her favorite heroes in past series and in her brand new Sinful Suitors series!
I fall in love with heroes easily. That’s probably why I keep taking guys from old series and giving them books in new series. I can’t let a potential hero go. Simon Tremaine, the Duke of Foxmoor, appeared out of nowhere as the heroine’s brother in To Pleasure a Prince of the Royal Brotherhood trilogy, and even though he was very wicked, I fell in love with him and had to write his story. But he wasn’t a bastard prince, so I figured out how to put him in the School for Heiresses series. Then, in Let Sleeping Rogues Lie of that series, I created Oliver Sharpe, the Marquess of Stoneville, simply to provide a red herring in the ongoing mystery of the identity of the school’s mysterious benefactor, and I fell for him, too. So I built a whole series around him—The Hellions of Halstead Hall. Lo and behold, as I’m writing that series, I needed a suitor for Stoneville’s sis and next thing you know, Maximilian Cale, the Duke of Lyons, is begging to have his story told, so he spawned the series I just completed, The Duke’s Men.
Once the Duke’s Men was done, I ended up with an American artist, Jeremy Keane, who screamed, “Write me!” and a jilted fiancé, Edwin Barlow, the Earl of Blakeborough, who captured my heart, so here we go again with my new series, The Sinful Suitors. When will it stop? It’s a big pain, because I have to figure out a series theme for them and drum up heroines for them (or sometimes carry over a heroine from a previous series) and make sure that they don’t change somewhere in all that. But in the end, it’s well worth it, because I get to fall in love all over again. And that’s always the best part.
Now it’s your turn to fall in love. In anticipation of the release of The Art of Sinning, Pocket is reissuing the first books of each of my four series (two with beautiful new covers): In the Prince’s Bed (Royal Brotherhood), Never Seduce a Scoundrel (School for Heiresses), The Truth about Lord Stoneville (Hellions of Halstead Hall), and What the Duke Desires (Duke’s Men). You’ll be able to buy them in print at the discounted price of $5.99 at bookstores and other vendors near you. But don’t tell the guys I told you. They’re already gloating that they got me to fall!
