What I’m Reading: Sabrina Jeffries

When Sparks FlyAs any voracious reader knows, there are so many books out there, it can be hard to choose just what to read next. So what could be better than a hand-picked recommendation from someone in the know? Every Wednesday the XOXOAD team likes to find out what some of its favorite authors are reading; today we’ve asked Sabrina Jeffries, author of the delightfully romantic When Sparks Fly to tell us!

At the top of my TBR (to-be-read) pile right now is Meljean Brook’s The Kraken King. Here’s why:

1) It’s Book 4 of Brook’s Iron Seas series set in an alternate universe where the Mongols ruled London for hundreds of years before they were ousted by The Iron Duke. The series is a steampunk version of Regency London.

2) I’ve already read Books 1 through 3 (and the shorts to go with them).

3) Brook is brilliant! Love her writing and her extremely hot men and her brazen women.

4) Zenobia is the heroine. She’s a writer, so of course I can’t wait for her story! The novel was released in serial form, but waiting for installments drives me crazy. So I held out until the book was released in full. Now I can’t wait to dig in!
